I discuss Microsoft's folding of Zune on Critical Mass @ Citypaper.

A call for the tentative retirement of The Office and 30 Rock while they're still funny, and lauding of Parks and Rec as NBC's strongest sitcom moving forward.

Interview with comedian Eugene Mirman of Flight of the Conchords, Delocated and Bob's Burgers. (Not sure what's wrong with the formating over at Citypaper, but they recently changed over their website, so a bunch of my older articles are gone or badly formatted.)

I put this youtube video together to try to help viral-ize the catchiest song I've heard this year, "Dumb it Down" by local folk-rockers If'n. Don't get it stuck in your head, or you will start to like your lobotomies the same way you like your nudity: full and frontal! (What?)

Not true! For christmas I got Trish a Sandisk mp3 player that she loves. She's kinda contrarian like that, so the non-ipod gift scored big points.

you can definitely manufacture and sell non-iPod mp3's players.

But you can't try to COMPETE with apple, which is what Zune was going for...

well, you can try to do anything...
